The Issues That
Matter Most.

Three clear priorities. Real positions. No vague promises โ€” just a concrete plan for making Key West work for the people who live here.

Issue 01

Infrastructure

"Building a Key West that lasts."

Our roads are crumbling, our stormwater systems are overwhelmed, and our public facilities are showing their age. Key West can't afford to keep patching problems โ€” it's time for a commissioner who will fight for the long-term investments our island needs.

Greg's Positions

  • Prioritize a comprehensive road and drainage repair plan funded through responsible budgeting โ€” not deferred maintenance.

  • Advocate for state and federal infrastructure grants to reduce the burden on local taxpayers.

  • Require climate-resilience standards in all new public infrastructure projects to address sea-level rise and storm surge.

  • Create a transparent public dashboard so residents can track infrastructure project timelines and spending.

  • Modernize the city's water and sewer systems to protect both public health and the marine environment.

Issue 02

Tourism Balance

"Tourism should work for residents, not against them."

Key West's identity and economy are inseparable from tourism โ€” but unchecked growth is pricing out the people who make this place worth visiting. Chris believes we can welcome visitors while protecting the neighborhoods, character, and quality of life that residents deserve.

Greg's Positions

  • Enforce short-term rental regulations that protect residential neighborhoods from commercial conversion.

  • Work with the tourism industry to establish visitor impact fees that fund community infrastructure and affordable housing.

  • Support caps on cruise ship passenger volumes to reduce environmental strain and improve the visitor experience.

  • Require tourism-related businesses to meet higher standards for noise, waste management, and neighborhood compatibility.

  • Invest tourism tax revenue directly into the parks, beaches, and public spaces that make Key West special.

Issue 03

Local Economy

"An economy where locals can afford to stay."

The working families and small business owners who built Key West are being squeezed out by rising costs and a housing market that no longer serves them. Chris will fight for economic policies that keep the next generation on this island.

Greg's Positions

  • Champion the development of workforce housing โ€” not luxury condos โ€” on city-owned land.

  • Create a small business support fund to help local entrepreneurs compete against chain businesses and online retailers.

  • Oppose zoning changes that displace local-serving businesses in favor of tourist-only development.

  • Partner with Monroe County and state agencies to expand affordable housing inventory across the Keys.

  • Advocate for living-wage standards for city contractors and employees to reduce economic inequality.
